This time I come to praise Chomsky not to bury him. In today's issue of Nature is an
article by Dr. Anthony P Monaco, he says he found a small gene (only 6500 base pairs)
on chromosome 7 that is responsible for human speech, it's a master gene that causes
a cascade of other genes to turn on and off. Monaco says this proves that there
exist specific circuitry in the human brain that makes speech possible and it probably
evolved very recently. Chomsky has been saying this since 1959 so it proves one other thing,
you can be a great scientist and a rotten person.
