Keep in mind that by the standards used to judge what was work for
hunter-gatherer and what wasn't, many people in our culture don't work at
all. I don't believe sitting around talking or grooming each other's hair
was counted as work, for example. So by those standards practicing law
wouldn't be work. Running a hair salon wouldn't be work. And so forth.
