I hope we will see rare content like this on P2P pirate networks
rather soon. Unfortunately, old digitized VHS quality stuff is
difficult to compress without further DSP. A smoothing filter run
might be necessary. Has anyone researched this?
I also would welcome a suggestion how one best publishes
a scanned/OCRd book. I intend to keep the original scan, as it
contains additional information about fonts, formatting, and
texture, and current OCR is 99% at best.
A bitmap (which format?), plain text (put through spellchecker)
and HTML in page-sized increments appear to be absolutely necessary.
