One word, son. Robotics.
No time to lose, you've got several fields to run through: Genetic algorithm
engineering, evolvable machine engineering, computer science, cognitive
neuroscience, evolutionary logic (I just make these up), nanotechnology,
genomics, heuristic systems analysis, and this is just the very beginning.
"Business school"? How long will it take you to get an MBA? Measure that
against how long it will take Kurzweil to commission an MBA-competitive
robot.
(Aren't biz school graduates robots anyway? Just kidding.)

"Consciousness is probably too large a problem for science at present, also
it probably will need a whole lot of reductionism to be solved - and those
working directly on consciousness are too occupied with "holism". As with
the largest questions we need a lot of small puzzle pieces at hand to make
the questions sensible: what would "understand consciousness" really mean?
And would there not be any progress within behavioural, cognitive
neuroscientific or psychological sciences before this one is solved?"
