Personally, I think there are intelligent and interesting people in both
groups and plenty of synergies between them that are only marred by the
individual insistence on casting broad negative generalizations. This
behavior is profoundly common among ideological groupings for understandable
reasons, but very pleasing in its absence.
P.S.: My classification of aspects of ideological group behavior as 'the
casting of broad negative generalizations' is probably, itself, a broad
negative generalization, and for that I am deeply, *deeply* sorry.
P.P.S.: Also, to wit: I hate *all* generalizations.
