Greetings from a trans-American

[this post seems to have vanished into the void, or at any rate it never
came back to my @ via the extropian list; I figured I should re-post it,
since there seem to be glitches in the list at the moment. It was written
by a guest at my house:]

=================

In my quest for the Perfect Place to Live I now find myself enjoying the
clear spring air, graceful architecture, and abundant parklands of
Melbourne, Victoria. Damien has been showing me around the area, has
introduced me to some of the more interesting people here. It's been highly
entertaining to listen to the reactions of the people here to American
politics, especially at this particular moment.

I've maybe been corrupting Damien--we went dumpster-diving yesterday, found
a lovely bicycle which I will be using for future sight seeing expeditions.
