Actually asexual reproduction is for lower lifeforms, human
reproduction is a fusion of two lifeforms that while just similiar
enough are also very different.

Human reproduction is also a fusion of spirit, which for the sake
of discussion we can define as a Meta-process of sentient entities.

Even now humans often reproduce without love.

Love is not limited to reproduction.

Love's only purpose is to serve itself.

Now we're entering the domain of poets.....
