What is truly weird is how long it takes the technology to catch
on. The microdisplay companies' pages haven't changed in
*years*. Wearables and augmented reality seem to have suffered the
fate of VR.
Clearly some of it is caught in the economies of scale bootstrap as
well as in lack of realtime high-accuracy positioning service
infrastructure augmented with built-in inertial tracking, but
sometimes I wonder.
