They are dedicated systems,
dedicated to few tasks.
Try dedicating yourself to something
and you will find it becomes easier
when you focus on a specific task
and ignore the rest of the world.
I have a dedicated BS filter for my communication systems;
I listen for novel word groupings
and ignore 98% of everything that I've already heard before.
You caught my attention with "insect-level"
and "how do we do that?" often leads to something interesting to see.
