Here is an event I thought some other extropians might be interested in:

The Libertarian Futurist Society is holding its first national
conference May 25-27, 2001, in Columbus, Ohio. Panelists include L Neil
Smith, Vernor Vinge, James Hogan, and Poul Anderson.
LFScon is being held as part of Marcon 36, "Ohio's oldest and largest
science fiction and fantasy convention."

See for details.

>From the web page: "The Libertarian Futurist Society was founded in
1982 to recognize and promote libertarian science fiction. LFS presents
the annual Prometheus Award for best libertarian novel...."
