Your post was touching.

My mother and father are/were highly supportive of arts, science and
technology and believe/believed that the boarder the knowledge base, the
wiser the person. Both placed enormous emphasis on quality. I never
heard my father discredit science or technology, but encourage his children
to be inventive.

My mother calls herself "transhuman" because she is no longer exclusively
biological.

I think if my father were alive today, he would be extropian and want to
augment his mind and body to be effectively creative.
