Mensa--a positive word

I would like to put in a good word for Mensa, because my own experience with them was overwhelmingly positive. I found several of their chapters to be comprised of friendly, welcoming and fun individuals. They enjoy making new friends, networking about new projects, talking about new ideas. Most have the sense to realize that a high IQ is not a predictor of financial or other success in life. I, frankly, have experienced a lot more elitism and cliquishness in the Silicon Valley wannabe cyber-guru crowd.

Also, various Mensa chapters have recently adopted other means for membership testing--at least one now uses SAT scores.
