I wasn't going to bring up specific bands, but upon thinking about it, it does surprise me that no one has mentioned the Cocteau Twins in any of these music discussions. Their music is electronic based, highly experimental, appeals to a sophisticated mindset and sometimes involves devices mounted on humanss. I remember one appearance by this group, and the lead singer had a device strapped to her throat with a lever that altered her voice when she moved the lever, allowing her to make many noises she could not have made otherwise.
