If you can't find the Skeptical Inquirer issue I mentioned, you could read
Carl Sagan's BROCA'S BRAIN, pages 69-75, which deals with the Dogon story
and its probable early 20th century source. Then read the rest of the
book, then read the rest of Sagan's books. They're great!
