1. Current issue of Asimov's Science Fiction (Sept 1997) has a story,
LETHE, which handles the themes of uploads and multiple versions of
oneself. Aside from some minor issues I have with the story which
probably are needed to make the plot work, I am impressed with some of
the ideas and problems discussed therin.
2. Curren issue of Fantasy & Science Fiction has a column by Gregory
Benford, "A Scientist's Notebook" on the topic of "Selfness" with a
viewpoint which deeply irritates me, and I'd like to see some of your
reactions to it too....
