Or an early, very strong autumn snowfall, which might have been the
first in a series of snows leading to an ice-age. Happens all the
time here in sweden :-)

Or perhaps a flash flood, followed by a "Blue Norther"...happens in Wyoming.
Seen the temp drop 20 degrees in an hour.
