Actually BBC News 24, covered the issue on the Tuesday evening.
If i remember correctly. They said that the claims were expected
to be in the region of 20-22 billion and that it was generally believed by
the insurance industry that the risk was mostly sufficiently spread to
avoid too many problems. News 24 is usually pretty reliable.

Obviously this is just what i can remember from a news report,early during
the analysis of the events, situation way have been reassessed by now.
