Which is total nonsense, of course. A century ago I would have been
planting potatoes and loiter around in homespun all of my life. Yechhh.

Raising a kid in such an environment would mean subjecting it to acute
experience deprivation, with very measurable results both in IQ test and
"smarts". Nowadays, you have to actively flee the world to live in such
conditions.
