You'd think so, but that's not the way it works in the US, where greedy
coprophages run the system and have no interest in efficiency or actual
education. Double the size of the class and they will demand more security,
more assistants, higher pay, and a larger campus and facilities, all of which
will more than double the cost per student.
Useless hypotheses, etc.:
consciousness, phlogiston, philosophy, vitalism, mind, free will, qualia,
analog computing, cultural relativism, GAC, Cyc, Eliza, cryonics, individual
Everything that can happen has already happened, not just once,
but an infinite number of times, and will continue to do so forever.
(Everything that can happen = more than anyone can imagine.)
We won't move into a better future until we debunk religiosity, the most
regressive force now operating in society.
