The consequences of deterioration of the social fabric are always serious,
and well-off people do historically tend to engage in shallow thinking that
leads eventually to "Let them eat cake." :\

It can be very hard for the "subject classes" to appreciate the employment of
private security forces as the result of "helplessness" on the part of the
bourgeoisie, even if that is what the bourgeoisie are feeling.

Ditto for private schools.
