Easy. No problem. In caveman ancestor days, the males would hunt, mostly
silently, while the females would gather, and keep a continual
conversational stream amongst themselves as a monitor against danger.
The topic of conservation (then as now): men, of course.
Then again, I doubt males would have much feelings about anything
(except the joy of the kill and eating tasty red meat) were it not for
women. I wouldn't doubt that most if all not emotions derive from the
need for a female to have a protector when pregnant or toting small
children. The earliest forms of female manipulation of men probably came
about after the original father-protector was killed and another man had
to be convinced that somehow he was the father of her children and had
an obligation to protect them.
