What do you mean by "contravene"? He simply wrote papers and
produced a program to back up his papers on how broken the
protection schemes are. Also, he is not a citizen of this
country. The application of its laws must be handled a bit
differently. We have now seen the FBI nab foreign nationals not
engaged in things like espionage and even go into foreign
countries to arrest teenage kids over this stupid law. This
sets a very dangerous precdent.
