Final Fantasy didn't depict technology as evil.
It depicted *skepticism* as evil.
This is quite possibly even worse.

I'm not objecting to that, though, so much as THE PLOT. Is it just me, or
did anyone else notice that they reflexively used a storyline - "collect
these eight objects" - that would have worked well for a Final Fantasy RPG
game supposed to provide 40 hours of gameplay, even though they were
instead writing a two-hour movie?
