Yes, garlic is healthy.

Partly it was a joke.

Partly there was truth that I can learn from and find awe
in the smallest things around me.

The background was that I wrote some poetry last winter about the
 most meaningful things in life emerging from the smallest, most
inconsequential beginnings.

That's really all I was referring to regarding the garlic thing.
I don't think you need to make any more out of it.
