We had a rolling blackout here last night, then to add insult
to injury I learn from this morning's San Jose Mercury News
that I am a pervert.
"State skirts blackouts as temperatures top 100," he read
by flashlight. Thus quoth the article:
"Under the new policy, California's grid operators have a
perverse incentive to keep prices high so that suppliers will
want to sell to the state."
So, fellow taxifornians who actually believe in the law of
supply and demand, we are now all perverts. Can you
imagine the twisted logic behind those perverts running
the power grid? They actually want to sell their product
to buyers who have no legally dictated price caps! Surely
they must copulate with inanimate objects in their spare time.
