Thank you very much for the information, Andreas. This is exactly the kind
of project the City of Vancouver needs to look into for its False Creek
Model Sustainable Village along the shoreline of False Creek Inlet. The
proposed village will have 5,000+ inhabitants. It will also be located
next door to a new High Technology Park (Employment Centre) as described
in "Silicon Valley North" (August 2000, p. 38). Tech-park.com will
accommodate some 15,000 employees. I hope the Provincial Government
fisheries biologists cc'd can tell us more about whether the water is
suitable at that site. And this new industry of closed containment fish
farming cannot be competitive without the best use of high technology.
