One thing that this insight doesn't resolve (relationship of temporal
lobe conditions to mystical ecstasy and religiousity) is why some of
these states also are associated with hyper-lucid grasp of relationships
and information. I would be very interested in an explanation of
mechanism there. Understanding of that could even lead (perhaps) to
ways to induce this hyper-lucidity without being overwhelmed by the
other aspects. Just a thought.
