Cloven hoofed animals are more prone to hoof and mouth disease, and other worm
based diseases, than fully hoofed animals. Its why many states ban the use of
commercial butchering facilities to butcher wild harvested deer. This is why raw
beef is not such a bad thing, but raw pork is a major health no-no.
