Yes; we "met" for the first time on July 1st, and had a very productive
three hour meeting. Though we had no real agenda, it didn't take long for
us to start discussing practical plans for public outreach and information.
 From that meeting alone we already have plans on securing a regular public
access television slot for Seattle, and will eventually organize actual
conferences.

I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to have local groups in
existence. Not only are they veritable hotbeds for intellectual meme
spreading, they also add more dimensions to the like-minded people we are
constantly associating with.
