I've been having this problem lately, sometimes even on this list. I
use sarcasm or exaggeration to demonstrate the unexpected
consequences of a particular claim. I think my point is made, but
instead find that people took my point seriously.
(And thus, I have explained away any previous unwise statements I
might have made.... Oops! There I go again! This was a joke!)
