And I see the problem as the Iraqnut bypassing Iran and suspending the missile under an oil
tanker headed for New York. A few minutes after passing the Statue of Liberty, the
designated button-pusher is in Islamic heaven and millions of New Yorkers who weren't lucky
enough to die in the blast are groaning in agony. Meanwhile thousands of highly trained NMD
operators are chorusing "What happened!"

Do you suppose the critics who kept pointing out the fallacies of the proposed Maginot Line
got any real joy out of later saying, "I told you so"? Do you suppose some wit will turn the
national missile defense acronym into a subtle reminder of that costly fiasco.

Aw, forget it---I agree this is a heavy subject that should be dropped.
