Actually, this says much more than that. I claim that your examples of a pattern-brain functioning are faulty because it includes causal-brains as part of the explanation of how the pattern-brain functions. Your own explanation for how a pattern-brain works includes regular human causal brains running the experiment. If you could device a theoretical way that a pattern brain could function on its own without a causal-brain being involved, it would sure help your claim.
