I reeallly like this idea. In fact, I love this idea. I think that's the most brilliant foundation for a Theory of Everything I've ever heard. Better than string theory, twistors, Moravec or even Egan.

I don't think it's *true*, mind you. But I bet if a real physicist were to shake it a bit all sorts of interesting things would fall out.
