Absolutely essential? Are you saying that it is impossible to produce anything or trade anything unless all involved use the concept of property rights? What if the people simply had enough respect for each other that they didn't interfere with each other's production activities, and what if they had enough respect for each other that they used the principles of reciprocity? Is it absolutely essential that people believe in the fictional concept of "property rights" in order to interact productively and peacefully?
