META: Recommendations for a 13 year old transhumanist

Hi list. My name is Chandra Patel. I'm a thirteen year old who has been following transhumanism and all its related subjects for a few months now. I'm trying to do this whole polymath thing since I think I have a fairly good head start. On the physics side I'm starting with Feynman's lecture series. If anyone has any recommendations for good introductions to relativity, quantum mechanics, and other topics please let me know. The one problem I've noticed with the Feynman books is there are no problems to work through, its all lecture material. I'm looking for good textbooks on physics topics. I'm hoping people here might have a good idea where I might find such books. I've got a basic understanding of Calculus if that helps in making recommendations.

I'm also interested in sharpening my programming skills which have been isolated mainly to BASIC and QBASIC at this point. What computer languages are best for beginning my trek toward Coding Deity status? There seem to be lots of options and my teachers and friends have no ideas about where to start.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

Chandra
