I did want to add one thing to the cost issue, it really doesn't cost me that much to copyright my poetry. The money that can come in per royalties, is much greater than the copyright fee. Thirteen dollars or so a poem, depending on how many lines there are. I don't feel as though I'm feeding into any government hungerfest with that kind of economics. However as far as copyrights are concerned in other arenas, I haven't a clue (there may be some truth to the mentioned problems in other situations) and submit information from my perspective only towards copyrights, as a poet.
