I subscribe to a Christian political mailing list; not because I'm a
Christian, but because it's a good source of political news that usually
doesn't make the non-Net media. They are most definitely opposed to any
kind of mandatory ID system like this, and will fight it with the rest of
us; possibly more so.
While they disagree with us on many -- if not most -- issues, they agree
with us on this one. Luckily I think they'd still agree even if there was
a Fundamentalist in the White House rather than a Democrat.
