IAN: Why should it be acceptable for X to
claim y = true and it to be rebutted with
ad hominem? Why should the scoundrels who
commit such intellectual crime be ignored
and logical inquirers attacked?

It's the goal of inquiry to make observa-
tions, make claims, and test them against
counter claims. But to react with cursing
and name calling is an affront to inquiry.
