sophisticated mail list readers the world over have learned to do:
Avert your eyes. Change the channel. Take a deep breath and move on.
You still retain the power to feel as morally superior, or worldly, or
sensitive, as you wish. Perhaps in time your leadership by example will
raise all the participants' consciousnesses.
