Last year I saw Jim Rogers (who wrote Investment Biker - worth reading)
on CNBC challenge Simon to a bet about the change in prices of metals or
other commodities over the next few years. Simon declined to bet. Simon
probably has some clues about economic cycles and tries to bet only
when pessimism about resource availability is abnormally high.
