Urgh. I was falling asleep by the third page. Everything on
the Web is *at least* 6 pages long and goes off on every
tangent imaginable. It was fun at first, now it's just
annoying. I know the above is from a print magazine but my
point is: due to overexposure to long, rambling articles, I
can no longer stomach anything more than a few paragraphs no
matter what the origin. On the subject in question, I find
myself becoming increasingly *less* wired. I check fewer web
pages, read less email, and ignore usenet and IRC more
militantly than I did a year ago. As far as I can tell, the
whole thing is rapidly spiralling into entropy. In the future
I think we'll all pay professional writers for concisely
written articles printed on glossy high-contrast wood pulp.
