Here's my list, and perhaps a comment on the reasons behind them.
                                Short List
1: Despair. A biophysical phenomina, influenced by psycho-social influences
                 brought on by....
2: Death. The main crux of what theologists call the human condition.
3: New Energy: We need new non-polluting super-abundant energy sources.
4: Material Resources: New material for people to use and recycle.
5: Rapid space transportation for the solar system.
6: Better medicine. See #1 and #2.
