I wish I had one of those installed in the car I loaned to a lady friend some
time ago. It was broken into and trashed. Kids the cops said.
Window was broken for entry....contents were rifled thru and selectively
destroyed or looted. Stupid kids...they tore up the stereo trying to remove
it but didn't even notice the CD changer.
Regarding this discussion thread I had wonder how hard it would be to install
such a device and trigger it to record the interior of the auto under
break-in conditions. Perhaps store the video in "flash-ram" like certain
video camera have.
The next question is what would the "authorities" do with such evidence?
