Country Lifespan Literacy GDP/capita

Mauritius 70.53 82.9 9600
Ethnic divisions: Indo-Mauritian 68%, Creole 27%, Sino-Mauritian 3%,
Franco-Mauritian 2%
Seychelles 69.24 58 6000
Ethnic divisions: Seychellois (mixture of Asians, Africans, Europeans)

Both are ex-British islands; the Seychelles are dependent on tourism, though.
Bermuda's very rich, and 61% black, but it's still dependent territory and
lives on tourism. Considering as well the US/Canada (isolated), Australias,
NZ, and _Hong Kong_, I'd say that the British were quite good at colonizing
islands.
