if you take any number of points (maybe or maybe not an infinite number), and
place them randomly within any space larger than a point, and cross a line
through that space at random intersections to the perimeters, the line will
not intersect any points.
also, any number of points smaller (maybe or maybe not an infinite number)
touching each other will still be one point.
