Stephen Hawking just stated in an interview with an AP reporter:

"The fuss about cloning is rather silly," he said. "I can't see any
essential distinction between cloning and producing brothers and sisters
in the time-honored way."

He also identified his favorite website:

http://xxx.laniel.gov

which is a physics and mathematics papers archive. Note the "xxx" rather
than "www" in the address.

If we can get more luminaries come out in support of cloning, I think we
can establish a beachhead from which to expand over time.
