While I may share your sentiments, and would love to live an ungoverned
life, I cannot realistically or practically see a way to get there from
here. Using such methods as random democracy as a first step, and
random/hyperdemocracy as a second step are in my opinion necessary to
peacfully achieve the transition as peacefully as possible, if it is
possible. Think about it, a world where everyone has a veto power
against new laws is essentially an ungoverned anarchy, so long as the
system starts out with as few laws as possible, if not any at all. Given
this, only mutually accepted voluntary standards will exist, so there is
the possiblity of competing standards of behavior, which allows much
acceleration in the cultural rate of evolution and diversification. This
will also allow the development of minimum standards of communications
that can be used to communicate across cultures, nations, individuals,
groups, what have you. Those that wish to remain isolated are fully free
to do so, while all groups will be able to develope standards of
communication that are optimum for their group.
