series of political cartoons featuring Newt The Caveman. The
cartoons were particularly enjoyable not just on a political level
but also because they highlighted the religiously-based view of the
sexes that prevented early anthropologists from even considering the
possibility of the female human doing anything but sitting around the
campfire. If we have rejected religion from our systems of thought,
we also need to eliminate the irrational underlying cultural schemas
that it perpetrated.
