Well, if the striking vehicle was the same mass as the stricken vehicle,
then the resulting velocity would not exceed half of the striking
vehicles moving velocity. Then figure in the energy absorbed by 'crush
zones' in both vehicles that are crushed by the impact. Figure it as
somewhere between 10-17.5 mph, both vehicles being of equal mass.
