Ja. There were no French speakers where I grew up.

The scene was right after Cleuseau gets that armor glove thingy
stuck on his hand and a fly is buzzing around the room. He goes to
swat it and smashes the Steinway. Someone gasps "That is a
priceless antique!" He replies "Not anymore." Then he makes
that comment about "zee maihdaih". I guess its a bad sign that
I can still recite Monte Python scripts and pretty much any
Peter Sellers movie script twenty some years later, eh? spike
